‘an uplifting summer anthem that captures the bittersweet feeling of moving away from home’
Hailing from the West of Ireland, new indie-pop artist Aimee Cuffe captures audiences with her unique blend of raw honesty, enchanting vocals and infectious melodies. Her music has notes of Holly Humberstone and Maggie Rogers with melodies that echo the storytelling rhythmic writing style of Ed Sheeran.
Aimee has previously released music as part of the duo The Best Part and after deciding to pursue a solo career in late 2022 she has since been writing and recording her new music.
Following her debut single back in April’24, her latest track ‘Don’t Forget‘ is an uplifting summer anthem that captures the bittersweet feeling of moving away from home, the excitement of adventure and the sadness of saying goodbye. 2024 is set to be an exciting year of releases for the artist and will see the release of the first tracks of her debut EP set for release in 2025.
Don’t Forget is about moving away from home and the bittersweet feeling of embarking on a new adventure while having to leave loved ones behind. Young people moving abroad is so common these days and this song will really resonate with those who have moved away as well as those that are planning on moving away for the first time.
Speaking of the song Aimee says: “Everyone I talk to is either moving abroad or all their friends have moved to Australia.. I wrote this song when I was in the middle of planning my move away from home and I think it captures all the emotions we go through in that process perfectly, I really hope that it resonates with anyone who’s going through the same.”
