Rhob Cunningham celebrates album launch with live performance
Heralding the release of his solo album ‘The Window & Day’, Rhob Cunningham returns to perform at The Button Factory in Dublin for a special Autumnal show.
Recorded in Iceland under the watchful eye of Bedroom Community producer Valgeir Sigurðsson (Bjork/Bonnie Prince Billy/Feist) & Greenhouse Studio’s Paul Evans, Cunningham travelled to Reykjavik with the songs chosen, spending a month recruiting sympathetic and skillful local musicians to share the Reykjavík studio setting.
Debut single ‘Quiet Song’ is the first introduction to the sparse soundscape that is ‘The Window & Day’, quite in contrast to his July release ‘The Head Collector’, produced by Villager’s Conor O’Brien and featuring Cathy Davey on guest vocals.
The gig is Cunningham’s first in Ireland since taking on 20 shows in Berlin since May and promises to be a memorable night.
