Renata Milan’s music described as ‘a cool breeze on a hot summer’s day’, stems from her musical inspiration which is rooted in her being a Canary Islands native and being based in Ireland for the last 6 years. Renata Milan’s music showcases a deep sense of introspection, self-reflection and examination, inviting us to ask the question where are we going?
Quo Vadis?
Renata is releasing her debut EP ‘Statue of Salt’. An accomplished collection of 5 distinct journeys along a common thread of healing and discovery.
Renata Milan shares “Often, when I’m reflecting on a feeling, a memory, or an idea – a melody would comes into my head with the start of a song. It feels like a small gift, something unexpected. I realised that music alone wasn’t always enough to say exactly what I wanted. I wanted to communicate more clearly and deeply. That’s why I studied linguistics and literature – to understand how language works and how to use it better.”
“Now, writing original music also helps me organise my thoughts, and music helps me express everything I’m learning and discovering in life. Song writing and releasing this single ‘Statue of Salt’ and my upcoming EP has been my way of making sense of the world – creating stories and putting feelings into words”
