PRiiCE Set to Release New Track ‘Kingsize’

September 13, 2021

Irish duo PRiiCE have crashed the music scene with a bang, garnering notable support from BBC Radio 1, The Line Of Best Fit, Notion Magazine and Earmilk as well as being featured in Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Pop and New Music Friday. ‘Kingsize’, out 15th September, is their upcoming release and their most accomplished offering yet. Neatly illustrating the pair’s versatility, ‘Kingsize’ is less full-throttle than its predecessors at first with double-bass riffs being countered by brass lines alongside a stunning vocal. Then it comes to an anarchic ending with masses of distorted vocal and pulsing bass licks.

‘Kingsize’ is taken from PRiiCE’s debut mixtape, entitled ‘44’, which promises to be a moving collage of electro-pop, indie and hip hop. The confines of genre are clearly of little concern to this enigmatic duo. PRiiCE blend rhythmic vocals and unforgettable melodic riffs to form well rounded alt-pop songs that feel like chilling out at an after session with your mates. This is feel-good alternative pop at its best. Discussing the single, the duo explain:

“’Kingsize’, similarly to our debut single ‘Sunflower’, is the result of one day’s work and a hard drive mishap. We sat on the song for a good while but we kept on coming back and back to it. For us, it feels like a really good and raw expression of what we’re trying to make as PRiiCE.”
