Paul Callan continues to build his one man catalog with his third album through Gare Du Nord, ‘No Dose.’ Balancing tender and fragile indie Americana and pure angelic vocals with barely contained sonic disintegration and fuzz, Callan’s songs are by turns uplifting and sobering, embracing the influences of artists like Feeble Little Horse, Rollerskate Skinny, and Buck Meek, and a voice that echoes some of the quavering emotion of Neil Young or The Wave Pictures’ David Tattersall.
