Former Walking On Cars frontman Pa Sheehy has today announced his highly anticipated debut album later this year ‘Maybe It Was all For This’.
This new body of work reflects and dives into the moments and memories of Pa’s late teenage years until now, growing up in a small town of Dingle in Kerry, which is unrecognisably changing.
His personal rumination in his distinctive guitar riffs, smooth velvety vocals, the album is one of reflection and beauty. Like much of the material for this record..
On making the record Pa say’s:
“Maybe it was all for this” is my little introvert diary. For me it’s a rollercoaster of an album….” “Sonically it doesn’t stay too long in the same lane. We’ve got feelings of hope and wonder to anguish but ultimately the record is all about acceptance.”
Pa continues; “Accepting myself , my life, people and accepting that life never stays the same, what is now is only like this for a short period and then it all moves again”
Capturing the sound, Pa Sheehy draws inspiration from artists including Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen and Kings Of Leon.
‘Maybe It Was all For This’, will be released Friday October 11th, 2024.
