Newbridge singer songwriter, musician, poet, and traditional Irish fiddle player Mairéad Carroll releases new single ‘IT’S TIME’

Mairéad Carroll is a singer songwriter, musician, poet, and traditional Irish fiddle player from Newbridge, Co. Kildare.  Mairéad has been part of the vibrant Irish music scene for almost 30 years.

While Mairéad is deeply rooted in the Irish tradition, she has performed with and played support to a  variety of contemporary musicians including the renowned Brian Kennedy.

Mairéad is delighted to have teamed up with Grammy nominated Billy Farrell (The Corrs) on her new single ‘IT’S TIME’, out now on all major streaming platforms and is an original song about loving ourselves better. Mairéad shares an insight into her experience of having a late in life ADHD diagnosis in this song which focuses on sharing about self-acceptance ,love and compassion for others.

Mairéad is working on finishing her EP called ‘ IF THE STARS COULD SEE YOU NOW’ which she plans to release later in 2025. Mairéad has performed at music festivals across Ireland , has radio experience, and recently performed her original music on RTE’s Nationwide tv show.

The new single ‘It’s Time’ follows Máiréad’s latest single ‘Happier’ which received local, national and international airplay including on the Iain Anderson show’ – BBC Radio Scotland and RTE Radio One’s ‘Late Date’ with Cathal Murray.
