The Coronas are back with a brand-new single ‘If You Let Me’ released on 7th September. This is the follow-up to ‘Strive’, a great success which has been played extensively across Irish radio this summer and has become a firm live favourite.
‘If You Let Me’ is a firm declaration of support, about those times when you see that someone you care about is going through a tough time and even though you know that you should wait until they ask for your help, you can’t stop yourself from telling them how you feel. The band say that lyrically ‘If You Let Me’ is their answer to the Jackson 5’s ‘I’ll Be There’.
Produced by long-time collaborator George Murphy (Mumford & Sons, The Specials, Ellie Goulding) and mixed by Grammy award-winning Peter Katis (The National), sonically the song is a joyous, catchy, indie-rock jaunt that really shows the Coronas at their radio-friendly, foot-tapping best.
It’s the featured single from their highly-anticipated seventh album Time Stopped which will be released on October 7th, after which the band will be embarking on a world tour with UK, EU, North American and Australian dates all in the calendar before Christmas.
They then make a triumphant return to Dublin to do their now legendary series of Christmas gigs in The 3Olympia. They have just announced a fifth show date in The 3Olympia on 14th December to add to their sold out run of gigs from 15-18th December. This is preceded by a date in the Ulster Hall in Belfast on 4th December.
The Coronas have had a great summer, playing sold out shows in Marquee Cork, Trinity Series, King John’s Castle, Limerick and Park Live Wexford.
