New Release From Place of Burning ‘Green-Eyed Disguise’ Featuring Rachel Grace
Wexford’s premier vocalist, Rachel Grace, winner of Star Nation 2020, joins synth-pop artist Place of Burning for his new single, ‘Green-Eyed Disguise’ – their second collaboration together.
It is a song about ageing through relationships; how our attachment to a partner creates a bond that makes the pair strong but leaves the individual weak and vulnerable to the loss of that partner.
The singer speaks to the partner she has lost. She remembers the youth they had and struggles with letting him go. She hopes to see him again. A solemn synth set behind an eerily plucked guitar create a sorrowful mood that matches Rachel’s tone while a soft, sweet build from a violin section offers a glimmer of hope.
With the brilliant Dave Skelton on production and Fergal Davis mastering.
