New Release from Emma Hynes – ‘Sierra’ Out Friday 20th of June
Emma Hynes releases new single ‘Sierra‘ and announces debut album.
“The sierra’s calling you and what’s to do but fall if you can’t hold your ground.”
Singer-songwriter Emma Hynes is excited to announce that her debut album will be released in 2026, and ‘Sierra‘, the first single from the record, is out now.
A digital release, the song is available on Apple Music / iTunes, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Spotify and all main streaming platforms, links to which can be found here.
With its roots in both Ireland and Spain, ‘Sierra‘ is inspired in part by meditations and encounters had on a trip to the city of Córdoba, and was written back home in Dublin.
Co-writing with Karl Hynes, who also collaborated with Emma on the artwork, and joined her in the studio to perform on the track, has made creating Sierra a particularly special experience.
The song honours Emma’s indie and alt-folk origins, which can be heard in her earlier work, while at the same time heralding a new era in terms of both her sound and vision, offering a sense of what’s to come.
