New Release from Caolan Ryan & Jafaris – ‘DO IT’ Out Now
“I started this track a bit after thinking I was finished with the EP but as soon as I had the idea all I knew was that it was missing Jafaris over it. I quickly sent him the idea and of course he just brought the track into a whole new dimension. This is a track I am so beyond excited for the world to hear and so grateful to have Jafaris be a part of….” Caolan Ryan
“The song came about very organically. Caolan reached out to me randomly about a snippet I had dropped on my instagram. Not really knowing much about him or what type of music he made, I was just being free with music and trying not to gatekeep for no reason. Weeks later he sent me the beat for ‘DO IT’ and I must’ve recorded two versions, the second one was the one I sent over and here we are.….” Jafaris
The result of a chance online meeting, Caolan Ryan’s third single from his forthcoming debut EP builds on the instrumental approach of his previous tracks with the introduction of Dublin rapper Jafaris. Although both the lyrical and musical elements began taking shape separately, the first time collaborators quickly found common ground.
While Ryan’s music worldlessly articulates his experiences of living both in London and on the west coast of Ireland, of songwriting and club sessions and from the ever-shifting world of electronic music, ‘DO IT’ adds a further set of experiences to the process.
“This song is about working through the challenges that one may encounter in their life”, says Jafaris.
“Not letting the challenges get the better of you but channeling your mind in such a way that you get the better of them. The words are proposing that if you dig inside your mind and stay grounded amidst the noise then you will be able to tap into your potential and get through anything. You just have to try”.
These two previously unconnected artists connect to create a sound that feels like it was destined to happen.
Ryan made an immediate impact in 2024 with DJ slots at Ministry Of Sound and Other Voices, supporting Jonas Blue and going B2B with Fred again….when he invited the Grammy winning artist to a surprise launch for the Ten Days album in his home town. Recent appearances have seen him DJ alongside Shee in Killarney and Kilimanjaro at Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin. Lead single ‘WHERE UR GOING’ was acclaimed across the Irish electronica scene, with Jenny Greene making it her Track Of The Week on RTE2FM. He is currently releasing a series of DJ mixes on Soundcloud featuring the likes of Overmono, Ross From Friends and PARISI.
