‘Another Night In Amsterdam’ continues the journey of the critically acclaimed album ‘Hidden Gems’ and will be released Friday 13th of January on all platforms.
The album features the hits ‘To The Edge Of Time’, ‘One Night In Amsterdam’ plus many more tracks which have all been remastered, expanded and reworked. It also includes a great extended mix of ‘Don’t Mess With My Heart’ by David Richards, producer of Queen and David Bowie, which was recorded in the legendary Mountain Studio, Montreux, Switzerland.
“While we were mixing some tracks in Mountain, David Bowie arrived in to the studio to invite David Richards to start recording with him. This collaboration led to the classic Iggy Pop album ‘Blah-Blah- Blah’ plus many more productions from the two Davids and also of course Queen. Richards did this extended mix of ‘Don’t Mess With My Heart’ mainly to showcase his exceptional skills as a producer to Bowie and Freddie, not as a mix for the record company”.
Francie & band were booked in February 1984 to play the Paleo Festival, Nyon, Switzerland in July to an expected audience of 4,000 people. The song ‘To The Edge Of Time’ was released in April the same year and became a huge hit. As a result an estimated audience of 25,000 people turned up to the gig which was broadcasted on Swiss, French and German TV.
