New Music Announced by Aoibheann Carey-Philpott

November 10, 2020

It has been an exciting start to the release of new music for Cork-based musician Aoibheann Carey-Philpott. Her first song ‘Overcome’ from forthcoming EP ‘Fragments Of Joy’, was released on the 2nd October 2020 and reached #3 in the Irish iTunes charts.

Following hot on the tail of this first release is the EP’s eponymous track ‘Fragments Of Joy’, which she releases on Friday 13th November 2020.

The song offers an edgier side to Aoibheann’s writing, exploring the fragility of the human experience, the pursuit of identity and the balance between light and shade.

Produced once again by Declan O’Luasa, who she describes as, “always bringing a fresh perspective to the recording process,” Aoibheann is joined by Dave Palmer on keys/synths, drummer Davie Ryan and guitarist Joe Philpott, with O’Luasa completing the lineup on bass.

Former front-woman of critically acclaimed noughties band Jodavino; popular Gospel choir director; vocalist with new Celtic collective, Emerald on Ivory, Aoibheann Carey-Philpott’s musical life has been busy these past few years. Now she returns with her original, solo work and is set to release her ‘Fragments Of Joy’ EP in the Spring 2021.

‘Fragments Of Joy’ single is released Friday 13th November 2020 on all digital platforms including iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify.
