Dublin-based indie band MT.Heads share a late-night, guitar-led track exploring miscommunication, regret, and emotional distance.

MT.Heads are set to release their new single ‘freezing over’ on Friday 30 January 2026, continuing their run of emotionally direct indie releases rooted in strong songwriting and live-band energy.

freezing over’ is a reflective indie rock track built on twangy guitar riffs, driving drums, and a slow build into an anthemic chorus. The song captures the emotional fallout of a night of miscommunication, balancing vulnerability with momentum. Its late-night, wintery atmosphere gives space to introspection while still pushing forward with confidence and clarity.

Blending indie pop and alt rock, the track sits comfortably alongside modern guitar-led indie with a nostalgic edge. Fans of Dominic Fike, The Strokes, and easy life will connect with its honest storytelling and restrained emotional weight.

Known for tight performances and crowd-ready sets, the band are steadily establishing
themselves as a rising presence in Dublin’s indie scene.

Highlights include:

● RTÉ 2FM, iHeartRadio USA, and Hot Press support
● Guinness NYF Music Trail
● Whelans Ones To Watch
● Headline show at Whelans Upstairs
● Opening for Landon Conrath (Employee of the Year Europe Tour)
● 50k+ cumulative streams across 9 singles

Their debut EP Windows Turned to Walls featured four standout tracks and was produced by
Daniel De Burca, helping solidify the band’s reputation as a fresh force in the Irish indie
circuit.
