‘Nocturne‘ is the Fourth Single by Co. Cork based folk artist Mark Lyndon. The song is a solo acoustic number with hints of Kris Drever and Richard Thompson. It features in the short film ‘PUNT‘ by director Nicky Larkin and producer Allana Ridell which will premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh later this month.
“I originally wrote this song as a lifelong lullaby for my daughter, in the hope that she might always remember not to be too hard on herself. Life will throw enough curve balls at you, so feel free to duck a few!”– Mark
‘Nocturne‘ was recorded with producer Davie Ryan in his Cork City studio and will form part of Mark’s debut album ‘Silhouettes‘.
“We played around with this one a bit, but it seemed to be too rigid, so we decided to record one live take and we both felt that the essence of the song was captured in one, so we stuck with it” – Mark
