Having thrilled Irish audiences with her enormously successful sparkling headline tour, comedy gold popstar LYRA draws a breath to release a new version of her seasonal record. ‘The Magic of Christmas’ (Tinsel Version) is due for release this Friday November 25th , as she embarks on a huge UK and Irish arena tour with Westlife.
First released two years ago, LYRA has revisited this plaintive, heartfelt song to make it even more warm, rich and Christmassy with what she calls the ‘Tinsel Version’ of ‘The Magic of Christmas’.
2022 has been a stellar year for the Cork singer-songwriter. LYRA has enjoyed two big radio hits in the shape of ‘Lose My Mind’ and her dance collaboration with DJ / producer John Gibbons on their cover of Stevie Nicks’ classic ‘Edge Of Seventeen’. These two tracks have enjoyed a combined total of over 10,000 plays on Irish radio so far. LYRA’s current single ‘29 Box’ illustrates her deft touch for matching an incisive commentary on the stressful demands of social media with a winning, catchy pop production.
With an impressive start on Shazam Ireland charting inside the Top 15, expect to hear plenty of this Yuletide cracker in the coming weeks, ‘The Magic Of Christmas’ (Tinsel Version) has been selected by An Post to be the soundtrack to their 2022 advertising campaign
