Lucy Dacus & Hozier in the National Gallery of Ireland, by Rich Gilligan

Earlier this year, in the quiet beauty of the National Gallery of Ireland, Lucy Dacus stepped into one of Ireland’s most iconic cultural spaces to share something truly special.

Captured by Other Voices, this short music film sees Grammy Award-winning songwriter Lucy Dacus perform highlights from her latest album ‘Forever Is A Feeling‘, including a tender duet with Hozier on their track ‘Bullseye‘. The friends and collaborators also sit down for a never-before-seen conversation about how this beautiful song came to life – and what it means to share it with the world.

“Forever grateful to Hozier, and thankful to the National Gallery of Ireland,” said Lucy Dacus. “I can’t believe they let us sing in there – it felt like getting away with something you’d dream up as a child.”

This intimate session marks Lucy’s debut with Other Voices, and follows two previous cherished appearances from Hozier over the years. Filmed in the Gallery’s historic Shaw Room, against the backdrop of generations of Irish portraiture, this resonant performance offers a powerful showcase of Lucy Dacus as one of the most vital songwriters of her generation.

“It was a remarkable occasion,” said Philip King, Founder of Other Voices.

“Two of the world’s most gifted creative artists – Hozier and Lucy Dacus – raising their voices to sing together in sweet harmony. They bonded over Lucy’s work and delivered a magical musical conversation in the sublime setting of the National Gallery of Ireland, in the heart of Dublin. There’s something profoundly moving about witnessing a creative connection like that unfold in a space that holds so much of our national story. It was a true honour to capture it.”

The full session is available to stream now on the Other Voices YouTube channel, where it will remain for the next two weeks.
