“Lorraine Nash is a skilled musician & talented lyricist… & deserves your attention now.” – Americana UK
Lorraine Nash releases ‘Wandering Song,’ her latest single from the Deluxe Edition of ‘All That I Can Be’, on Wednesday 11th June. ‘Wandering Song’ captures the desire for belonging that is in each of us. As Lorraine explains “I think as a musician this longing becomes even more pronounced. Touring and travelling can be isolating at times, but in sharing songs and stories with people along the way, there are moments of connection that feel like home.”
This track comes at an apt time just ahead of her appearance on Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage and a highly anticipated UK tour with the legendary Hothouse Flowers. Lorraine returns to England and Scotland in the Autumn for the Winter Sun Tour – a co-headline run with acclaimed British songwriter Dan Sealey (formerly of Ocean Colour Scene).
Lorraine recently launched her June ‘25 Kickstarter Campaign to fund the recording of her 2nd album in Nashville. With Grammy winning musician, Ron Block (Alison Krauss & Union Station) on board as a collaborator, this record will be the perfect fusion of American and Irish folk.
Nash from Co. Kerry has been noted as ‘The Future of Irish Folk’. Independent journalist Tony Clayton-Lea states ‘If you’re looking for quality reference points, think of a special blend of traditional singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and folk/Americana songwriters such as Laura Marling and Gillian Welch’.
March 2025 saw the release of a Deluxe Edition of her Debut Album ‘All That I Can Be’. In 2024, Lorraine toured Australia, and played renowned festivals like Cambridge Folk Festival, All Together Now and Electric Picnic. She subsequently opened for legendary artist Nick Lowe at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Jan 2025 she performed on Ireland’s biggest TV programme, The Late Late Show to celebrate 20 years of TradFest, dueting with Mike Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing on the iconic song ‘The Voyage’. Her music has been featured on RTÉ Radio 1, Mark Radcliffe’s Folk Show BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Ulster, Scotland, and Wales.
