On Thursday, the 3rd of April, Leah Rose will release her new single, ‘Swimming Pool’.
‘Swimming Pool’ embodies the feeling of self-assured escapism by plunging the listener into a vibrant synth-pop track. The pent-up restlessness is eased by shimmering synths and a steady beat, imploring the listener to “dive down” and embrace what has been beckoning them.
“It’s easy to get caught up in everyday responsibilities and delay pursuing what you truly want, usually out of fear. I wrote ‘Swimming Pool’ as a response to that feeling. Sometimes you have to live in the moment and dive straight into the water”
Inspired by artists such as MGMT, Metronomy and Lorde, ‘Swimming Pool’ was written and recorded in London with frequent collaborator Edward O’Mahony and mastered by Fergal Davis.
In the last year, Leah focused on developing her signature dreamy pop sound by releasing a string of singles, ‘Forest Wine’, ‘Emeralds’, ‘The Sting Of Rain’ and ‘Hourglass’. The independent artist has also been working on building a captivating live show, something we catch a glimpse of in the live music video for ‘Emeralds’, (shot on 16mm film in D-Light Studios).
These endeavours saw Leah Rose gain support from Irish press and radio such as Hotpress, The Last Mixed Tape, Golden Plec, TILT with John Barker, Today FM, 98fm, 2XM, Red FM, Cork’s 96fm, WLR and KCLR.

About Leah Rose:
The world of the emerging Irish artist began taking shape in 2021 with the release of her momentous debut single ‘Goodnight’. This was the first release from the EP ‘The Sun, The Moon, The Stars’, featuring follow-up singles ‘Dangerous Pink’ and the enchanting ‘Everything’, where Leah further showcased her visual aesthetic in the accompanying music video.
