‘Home’ begins with a plea for time to stand still and for things to stay as they once were, set against a lone piano motif that evokes change moving forward, regardless of the narrators asks.
The track quickly expands into a fuller, darker soundscape, deepening its sense of loss and longing. Last Apollo’s ability to pour emotion into every note invites the listener into a world of grief, honesty and yearning that’s hard to forget once the track ends.
The track arrives alongside the announcement of Last Apollo’s debut album, I’ll Walk Towards You, shaped over three years from love letters transformed into melody. Like its lead single ‘Home’, the album is rich in emotion and influence, moving between art rock, folk and chamber pop as Last Apollo explores grief, heartbreak and clarity.
Speaking about the upcoming album Last Apollo added
“This album overflows with love. New listeners might hear a lot of heartbreak and turmoil but for me, this album is a reminder of my amazing friends and the love they have never ceased to show me.”
Following her rapid rise as one of Ireland’s most exciting acts, with appearances at Ireland Music Week, Primavera Pro and The Great Escape, Last Apollo’s eagerly anticipated debut album, I’ll Walk Towards You, is set for release on 4 September 2026.
