Renowned Cork vocalist Laoise Leahy and acclaimed pianist/producer Cian Sweeney (As If I Always Knew) invite audiences to a unique and immersive live experience, ‘Breathe In and Let Go’, an intimate evening of original and improvised works incorporating interactive explorations of voice, instrumental music, soundscapes, spoken word, and song.
Taking place on Sunday, February 16th, this one-of-a-kind performance will offer an evocative journey into the depths of artistic expression, embracing spontaneity, raw emotion, and collaboration.
About the Artists
Laoise Leahy
Laoise Leahy is one of the most accomplished and versatile singers on the Irish jazz and contemporary music scenes. Her collaborations with esteemed artists such as Johnny Taylor & his trio, Jack O’Rourke, Dermot Kennedy, Damon Albarn, The Staves, and The New Irish Jazz Orchestra, among many others, have solidified her reputation as a powerhouse performer.
With original releases such as ‘Girl’ (2022), ‘Safe’ (2023), and ‘Starlight’ (2023) earning widespread acclaim and international airplay, she has been exploring new depths in her artistry. Her latest project, ‘Breathe In and Let Go’, is set for release in Spring 2025 and promises to push creative boundaries even further.

As If I Always Knew (Cian Sweeney)
Cian Sweeney, a platinum producer and session pianist with over 100 million streams, has worked with artists such as Ryan Mack, Robert Grace, Shiv, and DeCarteret. His collaborative project, 1000 Beasts, has amassed over 11 million streams worldwide.
His new artistic venture, As If I Always Knew, marks a deeply personal return to his roots as a pianist, presenting live, raw improvisations with no editing or production enhancements. “This project is my attempt to capture my true voice – unapologetically live, unedited, and raw,” says Cian, reflecting on his lifelong connection with the piano.
