Portlaoise based anti-folk artist Joe S will be releasing his brand new single ‘The Mountain’ on all online platforms on April 15th.
‘The Mountain’ is a melodic acoustic track featuring strings, keys and Joe’s trademark baritone vocals.
After a recent trip across Italy, where he got to experience the might and beauty of it’s active Mount Vesuvius and proposing to his long-term girlfriend at the brim of the volcano, Joe began writing what would very quickly become his newest piece of work ‘The Mountain’.
The new single is a departure from his usual work which regularly sports political themes and explores the darker tones of folk. Instead ‘The Mountain’ is powerful love song, juxtaposing the whirlwind of emotions experienced throughout the journey of love against the powerful creations of mother nature.
