Jake Carter returns with his most joyful and personal release to date.

Old Friends’, co-written with long-time collaborators Mark Caplice and Wayne Farrell, is out now and marks another milestone in Jake’s evolving sound and career.

A heartfelt nod to his Liverpool roots, ‘Old Friends’ is a celebration of childhood memories, long-lasting connections, and the people who shaped us. The track radiates warmth and positivity, pairing nostalgic lyrics with Jake’s signature sound—where live, band-driven arrangements meet fresh pop production.

In Jake’s own words:

“Old Friends is one of the most joyful and personal songs I’ve ever written and recorded. It’s heartfelt reflection on my childhood in Liverpool, filled with nostalgic lyrics that never fail to bring a smile to my face.”

Produced by Jake’s long-time collaborator Richey McCourt—also behind his recent ‘Point of You‘ EP—the track builds on their creative chemistry building their signature Organic Pop sound – one that blends live, band-driven arrangements with contemporary pop influences.

Crafting a timeless sound drawing inspiration from iconic British bands like McFly, Take That, and The Beatles, while infusing a modern edge influenced by artists such as Tom Grennan and Niall Horan.

Referencing The Beatles directly in the lyrics, ‘Old Friends‘ pays homage to Liverpool’s legendary music heritage while bringing Jake’s vibrant, contemporary storytelling to the forefront.
