It Takes A Village Reveals Sunday Line-UP

March 4, 2020

Calling all Festival Day Trippers! IT TAKES A VILLAGE festival, taking place at Trabolgan Holiday Village, East Cork, 8th – 10th May, are offering Sunday Day tickets with a huge amount of treats in store.

Journey down to Trabolgan, Sunday 10th May, to experience an eclectic selection of bands, top DJs, fab food, fun outdoor activities, a disco in an amusement arcade, synchronised swimming, podcasts, nature walks, intimate folk sessions, the inaugural Mystery Bus Trip, and many more surprises.

On the packed music programme, see Altin Gun – a Amsterdam based Turkish funk folk outfit, Cork legend and troubadour John Spillane, Dublin four piece indie-rockers Pillow Queens, Kerry’s finest young fella Junior Brother, and Post Punk Podge, blasting out from the Limerick underground. New additions to the music line-up include Cian Finn who brings a little Jamaica by way of Galway, Choice Award nominee Maija Sofia, ethereal songstress Rachael Lavelle, dancefloor hard hitters Gemma Dunleavey + Baliboc and Cork’s own Pretty Happy.

Eddie Kay returns with Gay Future – a cosmic space disco in the amusement arcade, featuring Raf Daddy of 2 Bears fame and Kate Brennan Harding. Lords of Strut return with more synchronized swimming in the site’s indoor heated pool. The inaugural My Goodness Games will feature a mesmerizing Obstacle Course that’ll highlight Trabolgan’s best activities.

House 25 will play host to a number of podcasts and chats: The Creep Dive trio their wacky stories and tales from the depths of the web; The Critter Shed bring the curious on a trail of discovery through the forests and fields of the 121 acre site at Trabolgan; and Ringo Music Bingo returns with Ronan, as does Ainle Ó Cairealláin’s Rebel Matters podcast.

Amongst the self-catering houses on site, discover a brand new space for the festival: House 26, which will feature some excellent trad and folk sessions throughout Sunday with special guests and whoever feels like signing a tune in this intimate gaff party session! Watch out for Dundalk’s darlings The Mary Wallopers hosting a session in the living room here.

And if you fancy a bit of shopping in the village, browse the all-day craft market, which features some superb local producers showing their wares.

Sunday is Fun Day! The Sunday of IT TAKES A VILLAGE is full of quality ceol, craic and ruaille buille, fab food and some fun outdoor activities over the grounds of Trabolgan.

A limited number of Sunday Day tickets, priced at €49, will be on sale from 10am Friday 6th March from uticket.ie
