Irish vocalist and songwriter SAL releases new Single ‘Homebird’
“Her music continues to captivate. Sal is becoming an important artist.” Christy Moore
“As long as I have known her, Sal is utterly devoted to music; writing and performing and recording songs being the primary focus of her life.” Luka Bloom
Homebird – a love letter to the idea of home, just in time for December. Written during her travels, the song began in Guatemala, where SAL found herself longing for the magic of Ireland, and was finished in Berlin this summer with her longtime collaborator and producer, Kealan Kenny (Pa Sheehy, TOUCAN, Niall McCabe). Blending folk-inspired melodies with heartfelt simplicity, Homebird is a song for anyone missing home this Christmas or searching for what “home” truly means.
“This time of year, the word ‘home’ is everywhere,” SAL shares. “It can be overwhelming if you’re unsure where or what home really is. Homebird is a reminder that home isn’t always a place, it’s a feeling, and you’ll find it in your own time.” Tender, emotional, and full of SAL’s signature vulnerability that she shares so authentically, Homebird is a song for anyone searching for where they truly belong.
At the heart of SAL’s music lies passionate and resilient vulnerability. The Irish vocalist and songwriter is celebrated for her raw, emotional writing and powerful performances that connect deeply with her audience.
