The song “Scale the Devils Tower” is the latest composition by Irish songwriter Ian Ashford, released on New Year’s Day 2025.
“I started working on the idea for this song in 2021 and after a long search I found the right musicians to work with in 2024 to make it releasable. I am grateful to them for understanding me.
The song “Scale the Devils Tower” validates my perception of the ultra violent world we live in. We the people let the lost souls dominate as we suffer the great consequences bestowed by our inactions and moral degradation.
I would like to thank Catherine Destivelle the French free solo alpinist who inspired this song.”
The song was composed by Ian Ashford who contributed vocals, guitar and synths, Fabien Iannone played the bass, recorded and mixed the song and George Oldream played drums, cowbell and Tamborine. The cover artwork was designed by Ian Ashford.
