Irish Singer Songwriters Cormac Looby & Glastonbury-bound Lorraine Nash are set to release their duet ‘Catch It’ on Friday, May 16th.

“Lorraine Nash is a skilled musician and talented lyricist…& deserves your attention now.” Americana UK

“Utilising a nostalgic Irish sound along with his staple indie pop persona, this up-and-coming star has managed to perfectly emulate the trials and tribulations of being a modern Irish man.” IMRO

‘Catch It’ comes from Cormac’s debut album A Perpetual State of Irony (2024) and explores the process of making peace with discovering new aspects of your identity as you grow older.

Providing further context to the song, Looby explains: “I had just moved home to Tipperary from Galway with a newly-operated knee, a broken elbow, an infected nose ring and was feeling a little bit broken, and quite reflective.” The track was produced by fellow Tipperary artist, Seanie Bermingham, and mixed by Cian Hamilton of Middle Ridge Studios.

Cormac Looby is a singer-songwriter from Co. Tipperary. He combines elements of folk, pop, and rock; with introspective and honest song-writing. Cormac’s music has featured on RTE Radio 1 Recommends, BBC Introducing and he has headlined venues like Roisin Dubh, Workman’s Club and two sold-out shows in Whelan’s Upstairs. He has supported acts such as Niamh Regan, David Keenan, Maria Kelly, Seba Safe and last year opened the show for Ye Vagabonds and Susan O’Neill at the ‘When Next We Meet’ festival in Tipperary. 2024 also saw the release of his debut album ‘A Perpetual State Of Irony’. Recorded with the Black Gate Studio Galway, the ten track record is undoubtedly his most ambitious and exciting project to date.

Lorraine Nash from Co. Kerry has been noted as ‘The Future of Irish Folk’ by Irish Independent. Independent journalist Tony Clayton-Lea states ‘If you’re looking for quality reference points, think of a special blend of traditional singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and folk/Americana songwriters such as Laura Marling and Gillian Welch’ . March 2025 saw the release of a Deluxe Edition of her Debut Album ‘All That I Can Be’. 2024 saw performances in Australia, Cambridge Folk Festival, All Together Now, Electric Picnic and she opened for legendary artist Nick Lowe at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Jan 2025 she performed on Ireland’s biggest TV programme, The Late Late Show to celebrate 20 years of TradFest, dueting with Mike Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing on the iconic song ‘The Voyage’. Her music has been featured on RTÉ Radio 1, Mark Radcliffe’s Folk Show BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Ulster, Scotland, and Wales. Lorraine opens for Hothouse Flowers on their UK Summer Tour, before playing the Acoustic stage Glastonbury, on Sat 28 June ‘25.
