Irish language band IMLÉ have released their newest single ‘Mise’ from their upcoming EP with rapper James Shannon and vocalist Róisín Seoighe. Following their singles ‘Sláinte’ and their re-imagined version of ‘Cathain A D’Fhill Tú Ó Shasana’, the song is an energetic addition to their growing sound and discography, acting as the true introduction of James Shannon to the band’s current lineup.

IMLÉ’s new song ‘Mise’ features a blend of grooves reminiscent of Disco and Soul with powerful chord progressions complimenting James Shannon’s chorus where he raps ‘Is bí réidh táim ag teacht now, B.Á.C is an domhain is on lockdown, IMLÉ, J.S rocking out gach crowd, timpeall mo thír they’re hanging on gach sound. Róisín Seoighe follows this chorus singing Sin é, cé é fhéin?’, furthering the narrative of James Shannon introducing himself to the group, the industry and IMLÉ’s ever growing fanbase. The release follows IMLÉ’s headline show in Dublin’s Workman’s Cellar on Friday the 18th of October and their Galway headline in Róisín Dubh the following night on Saturday the 19th.

IMLÉ are an Irish language musical collective and group, founded by Cian Mac Cárthaigh in 2015. The current lineup of the band features Cian Mac Cárthaigh and Neil Ó Briain on Guitars and Bass, and Róisín Seoighe and James Shannon on vocals. Since the group’s original formation, they have released a diverse catalog of singles and two albums. Their self-titled album won ‘Album Of The Year’ at the Gradaim Nós Awards in 2017, they also won the ‘Band Of The Year’ award the same year. They also performed at the 2024 Gradaim Nós awards earlier this year. Their second album ‘Fáilte Isteach’ features their first collaborations with

Connemara based Singer-Songwriter, Róisín Seoighe. Notably, this album featured their singles ‘Éad’ and ‘Do Chuid Jeans’, both featuring Róisín Seoighe. Their song ‘Cathain a d’fhill tú ó Shasana?’, originally featuring Fergal Edward, is also a notable take from this project. The group appeared on Ireland AM on St. Patrick’s Day this year, performing a reworked version of the track featuring Róisín Seoighe and Dublin based rapper James Shannon. This was one of their first public appearances featuring the group’s current lineup. They are set to release their brand new EP in the new year. Featuring a brand new sound, blending Hip-Hop, Funk, Indie music, all through the Irish language. IMLÉ are set to be your new favorite Irish band and are a not to be missed act for their upcoming gigs and releases.
