‘Falling was written on a cold wet winter’s day, the rain was pelting against the windows and the wind was howling at the door. I was day-dreaming of a mediteranian road trip with azure blue skies, a colbalt blue sea, the sun on my face and not a care in the world’

Delicate and delicious, Irish alt-rock artist The Butterfly Graveyard is located somewhere between The Blue Nile, Jeff Buckley and the deep blue sea. He makes a fragile music, soft as a butterfly’s wing but sometimes rough and uneven like the underbelly of a leaf, translucent when held up under the light. Having released a series of well received singles over the last couple of years the Cork based artist returns with the beautiful ‘Falling‘ on Fri 6th June.
