Ireland Music Week Announce Schedule

Ireland Music Week is pleased to announce the schedule for this year’s conference. It will take place, once again, via the Hopin online platform, which allows interaction from both fans and industry alike.

Conference panels and workshops include artist-favourites such as How / When to get a Manager / Label / Publisher; How to Break the U.S.; Approaching Irish, UK and U.S. Media; Getting Export Ready and more. There will also be discussions on mental health in music, radio in Ireland, Tik Tok, YouTube, and the value of art within the music industry.

The international-facing showcase and conference will take place online on Tuesday 5th – Thursday 7th Oct, with the conference starting at 10.30am daily and the showcases from 8pm nightly.  There will be a specific AIM Ireland-focused day on Friday 8th. The hosts for the conference are Arveene, James Byrne and May Kay.

Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact, adds: “We are delighted once again to present a record number of international professionals to the Irish market at IMW 2021. The last year has offered so many challenges to our industry, and it is perhaps a glimmer of a silver lining, that we are able to attract so many buyers, labels, publishers, agents and more to our virtual showcases and conference workshops and panels. As we head back towards full reopening, in the meantime, there are workshops and panels to attend, delegates to learn from, and showcases of the best emerging talent to attend”.

This year IMW welcomes three international artists from the Keychange initiative. They are The Blind Suns, Any Other and Hafdis Huld. Keychange innovators joining the conference will be Letizia Angelini, Nadia Leal and Maarja Merivoo-Parro.
