Ireland Music Week 2024: A Warner Music Ireland-curated series of music industry insights and guidance for five IMW artists from the 2024 lineup
Ireland Music Week and Warner Music Ireland are delighted to announce a new initiative that will be presented post-event to five of the showcasing artists from this year’s lineup.
Access is an inaugural programme which will be curated to aid each selected act in navigating their own pathway into the industry, arming them with extra tools, training, mentoring and insights from the Warner Music Ireland team.
All 50 Ireland Music Week 2024 showcasing acts will have the option to be considered for the programme. Ireland Music Week’s international delegates and Warner Ireland will then pick five of the artists in October, shortly after the festival.
The initiative will see selected acts get the benefit of major label insight and strategy to help develop a deeper knowledge and skill-set for their own growth. There will be no commitment on the part of the label or the artist to work together in the future. It will also be an opportunity for Warner to bring their international colleagues to Dublin to share their expertise and also grow their knowledge of the local scene.
The acts will be provided with expert advice across six areas that Warner and IMW have agreed are key to an artist’s development.
These modules are: Social Media Strategy, Digital & Release Strategy, Building Your Brand, Approaching Media, A&R, Publishing and Songwriting.
The sessions will take place at the Warner HQ in Dublin city centre from January – September 2025.
Warner Music Ireland SVP, Priscilla Kotey says, “The Irish music scene is so incredibly rich and vibrant. We want to be able to help support Irish artists as much as we can and amplify the work that Ireland Music Week and First Music Contact already do. By adding this new dimension to our existing partnership, we aim to support the chosen acts by designing the access programme, where we can provide some extra insight, expertise and knowledge across key areas to assist artists growth and navigation in the music industry.”
Angela Dorgan, Ireland Music Week Festival Director, adds, “This is a great opportunity for Irish artists and their teams to get a sneak peek behind the curtain at what it means to be on a major label, without the commitment of a deal. Everyone in this scenario comes away with more knowledge and expertise, along with an expanded network. It’s also a brilliant opportunity to bring the global Warner family in contact with the Irish scene in all its diversity.”

Ireland Music Week 2024 takes place October 1st – 4th in venues across Dublin city centre.
The festival puts a strong focus on export-ready artists with an increased success rate year on year. Bookers, labels, publishers, managers, agents, and many more international professionals have confirmed to attend this annual showcase and conference, which is an essential step in any Irish act’s development.
50 acts have been selected by an external panel of international industry professionals to play and take part in this internationally-recognised event showcasing Ireland’s best emerging talent. Check the 2024 lineup out here https://www.irelandmusicweek.com/imw-showcase-artists-2024
Up to 90 international delegates will once again attend the festival, with buyers and bookers from the likes of ESNS, The Great Escape, Primavera Pro, ATC, CAA and many more. Further international delegates will be announced in the coming months.
Ireland Music Week, as always, strives to achieve at least a 50% representation of women and underrepresented gender minorities in its line-up.
