‘Every lyric and every note is purposeful and honest, feeling like various truths that Pauric himself has entrusted to us. An immersive experience to say the least, O’Meara’s spirit and dance moves are contagious, making an otherwise small venue feel like a sold-out arena.’ – Hot Press Magazine
Produced by David Curley (The Cope, Otherkin, The clinic Studios), ‘Still Feel Young’’ , brings the sound and theme of the EP to prominence early doors, highlighting the importance of being yourself and not letting the world around you force you to grow up too quickly, as “we’re going to be old for long enough“!
Opening with a sharp vocal line reminiscing on his childhood, backed by an addictive guitar riff, this track will have listeners hooked from the start. Pauric’s raw storytelling is visible from lyric one, showcasing memories that the majority of us encounter as children/teens, and continues on the journey of character building that we face in life, which will keep the listeners enthralled as it hopes to act as a mirror to their own memories of growing up.
Flowing with an array of stylised riffs, bass lines, funky drum rolls and powerful vocals, it builds towards a monstrous chorus where the message of the song is repeated, and the question is asked, is it a privilege to still feel young?
Speaking about the single Pauric explains:
”Still feel young is about just that, still feeling young and pushing away the outdated thought that 30 is old, and you need to have your whole life sorted out before your 30.
My friends are all having babies, getting married, building houses. Personally, I couldn’t think of anything worse right now. If I do all that now, what do I have to look forward to in the next 30 years? I look at some of my friends and feel as though they are absolutely doing the right thing for them, others i feel have fallen to old societal notions.
We all hear the saying ‘ohh I’m old now’ when someone turns 30. And I do feel privileged that it isn’t me, but I don’t think it should be anyone, we can all remain young with the right mindset. Don’t let anyone tell you how to live your life, were all on our own paths, and this single and upcoming EP is all about reminding people of that.
I really hope this EP can be the soundtrack for others like it was for me, anthems to help you stay young.”
