KNEECAP was recently presented an IMRO Award in recognition of their album FINE ART.

The IMRO Number 1 Award was introduced to acknowledge IMRO members who reach number 1 in the album charts here in Ireland.

The Irish hip hop group was presented with the ‘IMRO Number 1 Award’ at one of their five sold-out nights at Vicar Street last month. Fine Art topped the charts in the ‘Irish Independent Charts’ in June. Fine Art, Kneecap’s second album, features Radie Peat, Grian Chatten, Nino, and Jelani Blackman. The album has been described as “fiercely intelligent, consistently hilarious and genuinely thought-provoking. Its genius is to immerse you in a world thus far unrepresented in modern music.”

Comhghairdeas mór Kneecap! Bronnadh ‘IMRO Number 1 Award’ ar an ngrúpa hip hop Éireannach, agus iad leath shlí tríd cúig oíche a bhí lán go doras i Vicar Street an mhí seo caite. Bhí Fine Art ar barr na cairteanna sna ‘Irish Independent Charts’ i mí an Mheithimh.

Sé ‘Fine Art’, an tarna albam ó Kneecap, ar a bhfuil Radie Peat, Grian Chatten, Nino agus Jelani Blackman le cloisint. Tuairiscíodh an t-albam mar “fiercely intelligent, consistently hilarious and genuinely thought provoking. It’s genius is to immerse you in a world thus far unrepresented in modern music.”
