Homebeat & Hotel Doolin Present: A Sliver of Light ft. David Kitt, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Ana Palindrome, DUG, Méabh McKenna + many more
I see the tiniest sliver of light
at the end of this dark tunnel
And I won’t stop walking towards it
until the sky opens all the way up.
Friday Jan 24th – Sunday Jan 26th 2025
Featuring: David Kitt, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Ana Palindrome, DUG, Méabh McKenna + many more
A Sliver Of Light is a new music & arts weekender happening in Hotel Doolin, Friday 24th – Sunday 26th January. Situated amongst the winter majesty and drama of the West Clare coastline, the event invites us all to escape to the edge of the island together to mark and celebrate the moment we emerge from the true depths of the darkness, and into… A Sliver of Light.
The weekender features following cast of incredible Irish & International artists to soundtrack the varying moods of the big skies and slowly lengthening days, as the light plays out against the drama and majesty of the North Atlantic:
LIVE
Waterford dream rockers Ana Palindrome | Homebeat firm favourite with brilliant new album in tow Bantum (Live) | Cinematic fiddle player Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh | Brilliant nu soul / jazz outfit Cooks But We’re Chefs | Stand out bluegrass duo DUG | Ireland’s own polymath David Kitt | Clare Via Dublin Via North Carolina Spoken Word artist Erin Fornoff | Galway’s electronic folk artist Emma Lohan | Achill Island’s folk sensation Graham Sweeney | Incredible contemporary harpist Méabh McKenna | Experimental sound designer Ordnance Survey | The wildly fun and raucous Really Good Time | Stunning contemporary accordion player Seamas Hyland | Ambient soundscape specialist Simon O’Reilly | Kerry based Irish language rapper Súil Amháin.
DJs
Keeping folks dancing into the night, the brilliant Sean Johnston from A Love From Outer Space will take to the decks – the famous party he ran with Andrew Weatherall for many years – and continues to run with nothing less than a devotional following for his incredible selections and expert control of pace and tempo. Add to this a cast of great Irish djs – our very own dancefloor destroyer Ali Morris, the wonderful January Winters, local heroes My Name Is John and Sunday Spinners, alongside the crew from much loved bar The Big Romance Soundsystem, Clare’s Piqué, and of course Homebeat Djs.
