The soulful, uplifting dance track was crafted during a six-week, self-directed retreat in the Portuguese mountains in 2024, where Hawk Jupiter honed a funk-infused sound that shapes his forthcoming album.
The track is elevated by the rich, expressive vocals of Irish artist J Fitz, whose soaring harmonies and soulful melodies perfectly complement the song’s uplifting tone.
With lyrics that focus on ‘the day passing by’ and ‘the tick tock of time,’ being content with the passing of time and celebrating the present is a key theme of the song.
Following national radio play for a previous series of nine singles, Hawk Jupiter’s new work reflects a deepened appreciation for ’90s soulful house, signalling an exciting evolution in his sound.
