Sometimes songs come along that sound both familiar and new, and Dave Clancy is a songwriter with that elusive gift. The Galway musician releases his latest single ‘Keep the Dark at Bay’ from his second, as yet untitled album due in Spring 2025.
The track features beautiful accompaniment from Eoin Wynne (banjo, vocals), Fergal Scahill (fiddle), and Conor McCreanor (double bass).
The song follows on from Daves’s debut album The Path, which was released in 2020. A collection of songs that subtly announce the arrival of a genuine talent.
He released a follow up single ‘Out of the Shadow’ in 2022 which told the story of an unsung hero during the pandemic.
Dave is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. His years as a versatile musician have seen him work live and in the studio with acts such as, The Whileaways, Pauline Scanlon and The Raines, among others.
