From peace to chaos and back again – Kerry producer Caolan Ryan releases expansive new dance track ‘PROBLEM’

June 30, 2025

“I wrote ‘Problem’ sitting at home on the coast of Ireland watching the sunset. I had this feeling that any problems I was going through at the time had just disappeared as I immersed myself in this track. As the track goes on it goes from a kind of peacefulness to chaos back down into pure peacefulness again which is kind of what was going on in my life at the time.” (Caolan Ryan)

Ahead of the release of his debut EP later this summer, Dingle based Caolan Ryan unveils the second single from the project in the shape of new track ‘Problem’. While maintaining the dancefloor friendly approach of previous release ‘WHERE UR GOING’, ‘Problem’ expands on his vision to take the listener down more experimental, alternative paths. In keeping with its creation, the track finds emotion in the electronic – inspired by artists such as Bicep, Overmono, Lawrence Hart, Tourist and George Fitzgerald as well as the experience of living both in London and Kerry.

Ryan made an immediate impact in 2024 with DJ slots at Ministry Of Sound and Other Voices, supporting Jonas Blue and going B2B with Fred again….when he invited the Grammy winning artist to a surprise launch for the Ten Days album in his home town. Recent appearances have seen him DJ alongside Shee in Kilarney and Kilimanjar at Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin. ‘WHERE UR GOING’ was acclaimed across the Irish electronica scene, with Jenny Greene making it her Track Of The Week on RTE2FM.
