Rising indie-folk artist EvieB returns with ‘Make it Real’, her second single of 2026. With haunting vocals and emotionally rich storytelling, she is quickly establishing herself as one of Ireland’s most exciting songwriters.
After capturing the attention of millions on social media, EvieB headed into the studio to bring her highly anticipated track to life. Recorded with renowned producer John Reynolds, whose work with Sinéad O’Connor, Peter Gabriel and U2 has helped shape some of the most recognizable tracks to date.
‘Make it Real’ offers a disarmingly honest portrayal of overwhelm, elevated by EvieB’s candid songwriting and emotionally charged vocal delivery. It marks another impressive release in an already strong run of singles from the rising artist.
Speaking about the single EvieB added,
‘’Make it Real’ is about an accumulation of emotions I was feeling at a certain time in my life. It’s written about a state of anxiety I was in and worried that I’ll never go to the person I was before. The song represents a build-up of situations that happened to me and hitting a breaking point after holding it all in and not sorting it bit by bit. I wrote it hoping that it’d be a song hitting all points of hurting be it breakup, anxiety, grief or loss of control.”
EvieB brings the same emotional intensity to her live performances, having shared stages with acclaimed Irish artists including Mary Black, Mundy and Mary Coughlan. Her recent singles and high-profile support slots build anticipation for her debut album, due later this year.
