Every Thing The Light Touches releases much-anticipated debut EP What Else Is There? and announces Spring tour dates
Praised by luminaries like Glen Hansard, Wallis Bird, Anaïs Mitchell, and Riverdance composer Bill Whelan, Wicklow-based composer and musician Danny Forde aka Every Thing The Light Touches released much-anticipated debut EP What Else Is There? on March 28th and announces Spring tour dates.
The journey of this stunning debut mini-album began with a moment of spiritual clarity under the Bahamian sun, where Forde found inspiration for a globe-spanning creative pilgrimage. Recording sessions unfolded across bedrooms, high-end studios, and remote collaborations across three continents, culminating in a record that meditates on love in all its various manifestations—as the songs dive into romantic love, parental and family love, to universal and God love. The album was mixed and mastered by Mike Cave (Lewis Capaldi, James Vincent McMorrow), drawing together the disparate recording sessions with warmth and precision.
The record showcases a wealth of outstanding performers including Dylan Lynch (Soda Blonde), Lau Noah (New York based guitar virtuoso), Petter Berndalen (This Is How We Fly), Tal Mashiach (Avishai Cohn) and the ethereal voice of Swedish singer Linnéa Lundgren.
What Else Is There? will be released to all digital platforms and limited edition 10″ vinyl on March 28th, with an EP launch concert in Dublin on April 11th.

Danny Forde, who also recently composed music for the double Oscar nominated feature film ‘The Apprentice’.
Every Thing The Light Touches is an Indie-folk band led by songwriter and composer Danny Forde, who recently composed music for the double Oscar nominated feature film ‘The Apprentice’. Self-described as Art Folk, the music inhabits the space between the tender, introspective stylings of Nick Drake and Damien Rice, the lush harmonies of Crosby, Stills & Nash, and the expansive sonic landscapes of Bon Iver and Elbow. Expect a rich tapestry of fingerpicked guitar, layered vocal harmonies, delicate piano, string quartet, and even singing bowls— carefully interwoven with carefully placed percussive textures. Forde’s greatest inspiration comes from the power of music to bring people together, to heal and uplift spirits in a way that transcends social structures.
