June is an upcoming Irish singer/songwriter from Laois. Her songs span between alternative folk, pop and dance music with Irish traditional singing influences.
She plays piano (Grade 7 RIAM Piano Exams) and is currently learning guitar.

The Laois native has performed 10 original songs at the Panache music festival in Hoylake, Liverpool and also performed at a “Beatles Day” in Albert Dock, Liverpool, covering a number of songs by The Beatles. She is inspired by an eclectic range of artists including Clannad, Sia and David Guetta.

June is currently set on planning her debut album release at a later stage but is now focused on releasing some singles into the Irish music scene first to help build up her momentum.

“Up” is an intimate upbeat track with flavors of modern pop and emotional nostalgia. Driving drums combined with a sentimental piano create a contrasting atmosphere where a listener can sweep themselves into the ups and downs of a relationship. Swelling synths at the choruses create a rising feeling that allows a darker chord progression to feel both hopeful and bleak.

The single is set to be released June 27th.
