The music video for ‘It Takes One to Know’ stars ARREN as himself, who finds a way of teleporting to the country his girlfriend moved to through a suitcase. But he can only get his arm through. In his mind, he’s a hopeless romantic trying to find the love of his life again, but from her perspective, she’s being haunted by this suitcase with an arm that’s following her everywhere.
The video was created by David Coleman and takes place mostly at Spanish Point Beach in Co. Clare. David’s skills in visual effects as well as pacing and composition helped bring the one-armed suitcase to life on screen. Also featured in the video is ARREN’s partner Orla Jane O’Connor and Toby Shane Roys, a musician who helped create the track with ARREN in the studio.
Commenting on the music video, ARREN said: “We had a lot of fun making this one. I’m not usually comfortable on screen but with this, the idea was so silly that I didn’t mind if my acting was silly either. This is for sure the dumbest, most brilliant music video of all time.”
