About the track
Inspired by the realization that our perceptions of others’ strength may not always reflect their true vulnerability, the song “Vulnerability” delves into the emotional struggles that can blind us to the fragility of those around us. It charts a journey from emotional fragility to a place of strength, allowing the protagonist to emerge from the darkness and recognize that even those we consider strong can experience vulnerability.
The song invites us to acknowledge that vulnerability is a shared human experience, occurring at different times and in various circumstances. It emphasizes the importance of supporting one another, considering that our mental health is as essential as our physical well-being. In a poignant comparison, it draws parallels to Jolene’s address to Dolly Parton, reflecting the depth and complexity of human emotions.
The song was recorded by Rohan Healy and Al Quiff at Beardfire Studios. Dermot Whelan handled production, and Sean Mac Erlaine did the mastering for the track.
