Singer-songwriter ELLYD returns with yet another infectious pop single ‘Wishing Well‘ on June 20th.
The up-beat song is a taste of what is to come from the Dublin singer who releases her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Tomorrow Be Kind’, in September.
A well-known face on the Irish music scene, Elly has played Electric Picnic, The Olympia and Vicar Street and supported some of the country’s most recognisable bands and musicians including Aslan and The Riptide Movement.
Speaking about the new single, Elly said it’s a pop song that centres around having to deal with problematic people.
She said: “Wishing Well is a relaxed, straight forward pop song that captures the challenge of dealing with difficult people while still wishing them the best.
I can still picture the moment I came up with the chorus while waiting outside the vet with my beloved dog who was busy sniffing and claiming the trees.
It’s all about finding that balance between frustration and goodwill – celebrating the moments that make it all worthwhile.”
‘Wishing Well’ will be available on all music platforms from June 20th.
