Taking a little break from recording her debut album, songwriter ELLYD will release her fabulous Christmas song ‘Have a Happy Merry Christmas’ on December 2nd.
Having grown up listening to all the Christmas classics, Elly decided to release her very own festive singalong song. Speaking about how ‘Have a Happy Merry Christmas’ came about, the singer said: “I unintentionally wrote it back in lock down. I was toying with the idea of releasing it last year but decided against it. I regretted not doing it then so I promised myself this was the year for an ELLYD Christmas tune!”
She added: “I absolutely love Christmas and I wanted this recording to reflect that. I’m a big fan of the old school Christmas songs and certain elements from some of those recordings inspired the overall sound of ‘Have a Happy Merry Christmas.”
