Electronic artist Emileo to release ‘Hija del cielo’ remix collection (including her own Emileo remix) on August 30th

August 28, 2024

“I wrote ‘Hija del cielo’ (the sky’s daughter) in my first year in Ireland; that is four years ago now. I love the idea of how pieces of music resurrect in remixes. How the remixing artist is able to put an old baby into a new sparkling dress. In my remix of Hija del cielo, I aim to emphasise the ethereal otherworldliness, isolated numbness and peaceful loneliness I felt when making my baby. Just that now, it seems to be in its twenties, wearing kinky rave clothes and delirious with too much sun.” – Emileo

The dark kick reminisces about past pain punching straight into one’s stomach while dreamy synthesisers seem to have already transcended into the paradisiac blue. Framed by angelic, hazy voices, the remix transports the listener into a heavenly nothing where peace reigns over our worldly pain. This is where ‘the sky’s daughter’ dwells.

Following BENJAMYN’s remix of Emileo’s ‘Hija del cielo’ in July 2024, the female electronic artist unites both remixes in her latest remix collection, mastered by Peter Montgomery (Tame Impala, Bicep). The ‘Hija del cielo’ remix collection will be released on Friday, August 30th.
