This all ages performance kickstarts an exciting year for the band with further announcements about new music and international tour dates imminent.

With a line-up of two drummers and four guitarists, THUMPER‘s  maximalist wall of sound has long since set them apart in the booming Dublin music scene and has them “punching like heavyweights  alongside Fontaines DC and The Murder Capital” (Chris Hawkins, BBC  Radio 6).
Their debut album Delusions of Grandeur was an epic introduction to the band’s psych-drenched rumble which juxtaposes towering walls of distortion with saccharine melody and unabashed  hooks.

Since 2021, Dublin noise-pop sextet THUMPER have gone from playing small hometown shows to touring Ireland, Europe and The UK extensively.

Playing headline shows nationwide, bringing their wild brand of frenetic live performances to the cities of Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick and beyond, and opening for big name artists such as Damien Dempsey, Fight Like Apes and Kasabian on their Irish tour.

THUMPER have become regular features at Irish festivals, appearing regularly at the likes of Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Indiependence, Other Voices, etc.

Just as frequently on the European circuit, they have spent the last number of years captivating audiences from France to The Netherlands, Germany to Lithuania and Czechia. UK audiences will be all too familiar with the name THUMPER, as the band have gained many fans around the UK whilst touring through the likes of London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bristol, Brighton, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Wrexham.

The band feel right at home on festival stages around the continent too, having made appearances at big name European festivals such as Mad Cool (Madrid), Reading & Leeds (UK), Iceland Airwaves (IS), Haldern Pop (DE), Rock For People (CZ), Eurosonic (NL), Reeperbahn (DE), United Artists Prague (CZ), and many more.

The band can not only boast great live success in recent years, but have seen their releases received well from critics and fans alike, developing a dedicated consistent listenership, with over 1 million collective streams on Spotify, shared between one album, two EPs and a handful of singles. They have also garnered over 75,000 views across their music videos on YouTube.

In 2023 alone, their debut album Delusions of Grandeur landed them a nomination for Irish Album of the Year at the 2023 RTÉ Choice Prize alongside Fontaines DC, Just Mustard, CMAT, Dermot Kennedy and more. Before thundering into the ESNS Radio Charts, THUMPER received UK and international airplay across BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, KEXP, Kink, Kerrang! as well as Irish stations such as RTÉ Radio 1, 2FM, Today FM, Beat102103, and many more. They have also made noteworthy TV performances on RTÉ’s Tommy Tiernan Show and Other Voices.
