Dublin Indie Folk Artist Frances Wilde Announces Second EP ‘Autofiction’

Indie folk singer-songwriter Frances Wilde is set to release her second EP, ‘Autofiction‘, a five-track collection that delves into the complex relationship between lived experience and the stories we tell ourselves.
Building on the foundation established with her debut EP, Paperback Reveries, Wilde’s latest work showcases her evolving artistry and deepening songcraft, inspired by Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash.
‘Autofiction‘ weaves together intimate storytelling with the atmospheric arrangements that have become her signature, this time layering tracks with a 1970s Korg minipops drum machine, clarinet, flute, piano and guitar.
The EP’s title reflects its thematic core: the blurred lines between autobiography and fiction, exploring how memory shapes the stories we create about our lives. ‘Autofiction‘ demonstrates growth in both songwriting sophistication and production quality, taking production inspiration from Irish artists Orla Gartland and CMAT.
The EP promises to establish her as a distinctive voice in the indie folk scene.
Track 1, ‘Ambivalence’, was released on May 16, while Track 2, ‘Tombstones, was released on May 23, receiving its Irish radio debut on Raidió Rí-Rá and its UK debut radio play on BBC Introducing.
