Lost Cities D.C. style and music is a collection of inspirations orchestrated into an array of head rocking beats , feel good vibes and emotional fever .
As Dublin City natives, Scott Maher and Oisin Murray came together under the name “Lost Cities D.C.” in 2023 to create electrifying songs with guitar driven hooks with a sprinkle of 80’s keyboards inspired by their influences of bands like War On Drugs , LCD Soundsystem and more.
Initially focused on the Indie-Pop Genre the two joined forces working in the studio over the last year working every day to write and record the band’s debut EP “Monsters”.
Having grown up together , two school mates that had ventured off in different musical directions finally had the chance to reunite in the studio to create something special. Music has been their common bond throughout life and the two have diverse musical backgrounds bringing different elements which then fuse together to create the vibrant and exciting sound that is Lost Cities D.C. “It’s a culmination of our careers, jamming 25 years, living life and making music, all of it coming together and being able to share that with the world”
With musical influences that include David Bowie , The Band , War On Drugs and more They began experimenting to create new songs and sounds that pay homage to sounds of their youth growing up in Dublin.
