Dublin-born, London-based Tayne release their critically acclaimed debut album LOVE , now on MNRK / Inside Job, including focus track ‘Wasted’.

Soundtracked by a raging hybrid of metal, industrial, shoegaze and pop, LOVE wrestles with the classic definition of the word, exploring how we navigate the clashes that emerge through its pursuit.

“The contrast (of genres) is far more interesting to me,” frontman Matt Sutton states. “I still love extreme metal and heavy bands, but I think there’s something a little bit more exciting when you’re trying to create something that isn’t what everyone else is doing.”

LOVE features ‘Fear’, their stadium anthem with a guest appearance from Rolo Tomassi’s James Spence, ‘In this Trend’, an industrial dancefloor stomper which wouldn’t sound amiss at the legendary Berghain, and ‘Wasted’, Tayne at their most aggressive, mechanical & violent in the vein of Ministry & Fear Factory whilst attempting to find serenity in chaos.

“’Wasted’ is purely about lust. Getting caught up in those feelings, mistaking them for something else and then undressing that to reveal the mess it has created,” Matt explains.

LOVE is co-produced by Tayne & longtime collaborator Wayne Adams (Green Lung, Pet Brick), one of a number of collaborations with artists as diverse as Jesu, Cage Fight, Rolo Tomassi, Mastiff, Katie Kim & Poisonous Birds with Tayne supporting the likes of HEALTH, Author & Punisher and The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato.

Tayne have been announced for 2000 Trees & ArcTanGent festivals alongside fellow countrymen Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Rolo Tomassi, The Melvins, Between The Buried And Me, The Fall of Troy & more.
