Irish indie rock band, The Ephades, are bringing their fresh sound to the world with the release of their third single “Giving Out“. Made up of talented 17 year-olds, Cahir, Grace M, Grace N, and Kyle, the band found each other through their love for music and passion for creativity.
With gigs at top venues like An Grianán Theatre and The Balor Theatre, The Ephades have gained a dedicated fanbase in their hometowns of Letterkenny and Creeslough. And now, they have taken on the national stage with shows in Dublin, Derry and Belfast!
“Giving Out” itself is a harshly introspective track that journeys through themes of self preservation and the eerie feeling of knowing that all things end. In many ways, the song holds a comforting quality particularly in the verses with a soft vocal mirrored by the instrumentation however, the song comes to life as the underlying emotions are uncovered.
The cover shot for the single follows a unique theme for the band with yet another aspect of the beautiful landscape of their home county of Donegal. The photograph taken at the mythological site of “Doe Castle” which holds a special history that the members undoubtedly appreciate and the beautiful legends that are a part of its history prove a fitting face for this touching track.
With fantastic production by Start Together Studio, Giving Out is a must listen.
